Journée Smart Waves : autour des ondes>

Smart Waves day 2026

The Smart Waves Major program is organizing a scientific day on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, entitled Smart Waves: Exploring Waves.” The aim of this event is to bring together the research community around recent advances, ongoing projects, and interdisciplinary perspectives related to the study and control of wave phenomena.

The Smart Waves program, structured around four scientific axes, brings together laboratories in physics, engineering, geophysics, computer science, materials science, and artificial intelligence within PSL. It provides a unique framework for developing cross-disciplinary and innovative approaches to waves (more details are available on the program’s dedicated page).

Objectives of the day

This event aims to:

  • Present the strategic directions and scientific dynamics of the Smart Waves program,

  • Highlight the PhD and postdoctoral research supported by the program,

  • Promote scientific and interdisciplinary exchanges through a poster session,

  • Intervention by Geoffroy Lerosey on the valorization of his academic research and the creation of Greenerwave.

This scientific day represents a privileged opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange, encouraging meetings and new collaborations among researchers from PSL laboratories.

Discover the program on the dedicated page and register now to take part in the event.

Poster session

In addition to the oral presentations, significant time will be devoted to two poster sessions, organized to maximize discussion and interaction.

PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows, and permanent researchers are strongly encouraged to submit a poster contribution in order to showcase their work to the broader PSL community working on wave-related topics.

Posters should be related to one of the four scientific axes of the Smart Waves Grand Program:

  • Quantifying the information carried by waves

  • Controlling the generation and transport of wavefronts

  • Developing advanced imaging techniques

  • Designing innovative materials to make waves agile

When submitting your poster, please include:

  • The title of the poster
  • You don’t need to write summarize, a slash, a space, or a period is enough
  • The corresponding scientific axis

Please note: You must be registered for the event in order to present a poster.

Deadline for registration for this event and for poster submission: 03/09/2026
